Giner Biomedical Powerpoint Presentation

Carbon Monoxide Sensors

Carbon monoxide is an undesirable component of reformate gas used to feed fuel cells.  Giner has developed a sensor which can measure carbon monoxide concentrations as low as one ppm, providing a means to protect fuel cells from carbon monoxide poisoning.

Several prototype sensors for measuring atmospheric levels of CO are also available. These include area monitors, hand-held detectors, and wrist-watch size detectors. Possible applications include home monitoring, industrial hygiene, underground parking garages, and underground fire detection systems.
