Ethylene
Sensors
Ethylene is a plant hormone that is involved in
ripening and freshness of fruits and vegetables. The Giner sensor
under development could be used in greenhouses, produce storage
facilities, and agricultural research. It could be used in conjunction
with an ethylene regulation (scrubber) system. The instrument will be
significantly more cost effective than current gas chromatography
equipment.
